| The Maroon Bells form one of the more distinctive massifs in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Although they are beautiful at any time of year, I find them to be unsurpassed during the early autumn. By this time the surrounding aspen have turned golden and snow has begun to accumulate in the fractured sandstone faces of the peaks. | ||||||||||||||||
