Early
one spring I decided to search for signs of the new season by taking a hike
up to Lake of Glass in Rocky Mountain National Park. Although it was officially
spring, I still needed snowshoes to climb up the glacial valley into the
higher elevations. As I scrambled over the rock lip of the edge of the lake
I was presented with an awesome view of the surrounding peaks. Despite the
fact that the snow would take many more months to disappear, I could detect
minute signs of the new season, such as the melted ice at the edge of the
lake. |
