								Magic Forest
								It was early spring and I was taking a hike along the headwaters of the St. Vrain river to stretch my legs after a long, cold winter. Most of the trail cut through dense pine forests that had only recently rid themselves of the deep winter snows. Occasionally, however, I would come upon an opening in the forest where the bright sunshine would pour down through a gap in the trees and give the surrounding forest a magical glow.
